Coating Drug-eluting Arterial Stents
The use of ultrasonic atomizing nozzles can effectively achieve a continuous and uniform drug-eluting arterial stent coating.
The industry has adopted two types of nozzles, two-fluid spray and ultrasonic spray. Our company mainly researches ultrasonic spraying technology, because it is currently considered as the best method to achieve drug-eluting arterial stent coating.
The operating requirements in this application require a flow rate of around 20-100 μl / min, a spray diameter of 0.5-2 mm, and a very small median droplet diameter. Ultrasonic nozzles meet these requirements. The stand is placed on a mandrel connected to a rotating shaft. The nozzle is mounted above the bracket. Not only does the shaft rotate, but it translates so that the stent is sprayed along its entire length. Usually, multiple moves are required to reach the proper coating weight.
