Vascular Stent Coating Machine
Since the birth of the vascular stent, it plays an important role in interventional therapy of heart disease, and with the development of technology, the stent starts containing various functional coatings. The technical difficulty of coating arises from precisely controlling the coating mass and fine surface quality on the stent which has micron and complicated structure. In general, stent’s coating can be achieved by soaking, spraying or chemical deposition process.
However, experiment has shown that soaking technology be only applicable to the stents with simple structure at the early stage, when facing complicated stents, it causes envelope and bridge on parts of the stent, which lowers down the stent’s performance. Besides, chemical deposition has special requirements in stent’s material and coating material, making it can’t be widely used. As a new kind of spray technology, ultrasonic spray has low flow rate with precisely control, fine spray with controllable droplet size, flexible coating ways, and low energy consumption. It is a potential technology for stent coating preparation.
